Here is our preliminary task video (Claudia, Jess, Max and Toby).
Evaluation
1)
How well
does your preliminary task fulfil the brief?
Our preliminary task fulfils the brief because it meets
the criteria required. We did this by including a character opening a door,
crossing the room, sitting down then having a brief conversation with another
character. We also used the camera shot required (shot/reverse shot). Even
though we did fulfil the brief there is still a lot of room for improvement.
2) What obstacles did you overcome in order complete the preliminary task?
The main obstacle we had to overcome was making sure
we had filmed and edited our preliminary task by the deadline. This was an
obstacle for us because we missed a lesson of filming as a member of our group wasn't there so we were already falling behind. Then when our whole group were present we
had trouble with making sure we filmed everything correctly. After that, the
editing was a lot quicker so we did manage to catch up.
3) How could you have improved the production values of your preliminary task?
I feel we could have improved our task by focusing
more, planning before we started filming and being more time efficient.
4) What tutorials did you use in order to help you complete the preliminary task?
We did not use any tutorials in order to help complete
our preliminary task. If we had done it may have made our preliminary task
better so we will consider this when making our main task.
5) What important lessons have you’re learned in preparation for completing your main task?
I have learned that for our main task we will need to
plan more efficiently before filming and that we need to manage our time
better. This will help our main task because by planning we could potentially
have better ideas and by managing our time better we will ensure that we have
done everything correctly before the deadline.
